We passed an interesting sight on the way to dinner tonight at the corner of Los Alisos and Muirlands in Mission Viejo. The photo isn't great, but the smoking hulk in the photo is a black Bentley which hit something pretty hard:
That's a $100K+ car. Here's the strange thing - he obviously hit something with that car very recently but there was no other car there. The driver appeared to be trying to get the car running again, but oil smoke was pouring out of the engine compartment and I'm sure the radiator was gone. I didn't see steam which makes me think the guy managed to drive the car in this condition to this spot before it finally quit on him and either seized up or just wouldn't fire anymore. All the water had probably leaked out or boiled off.

We debated over dinner how this might have happened:
- This guy hit someone else and the other car ran. However, there didn't seem to be accident debris on the ground in front of the car.
- This guy hit someone else and he was running.
I called the fire department because it looked like he might have had a fire under the hood. I'd sure like to know what happened. If you have a theory or know what happened, put it in the comments.

So you really think if he's hit somebody with this expensive car they'd run from the big insurance payoff? I can see that happening for an illegal alien, of which you got a lot, so I'll go with answer #2.
