Another weekend on the road. We haven't been up north to visit our daughter since Christmas, and tonight she's playing in a concert at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University, so off we go. Since she began as a freshman in 2007 I figure I've made something near 35 trips up there and have spent somewhere between 2 and 3 months in hotels while driving more than 35,000 miles.
No problem. Seven hour drives have become routine. I can do them in my sleep (and sometimes do).
Saturday we're taking her to San Francisco for some serious gown shopping. You see, we have another trip in two weeks to attend her Senior Recital and she needs something new to wear for that. Wish us luck.
Posting until Monday will be largely via smartphone. San Francisco is supposed to be rainy and cool...as usual.
