Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says congressional lawmakers are discussing taking some action in response to the Koran burnings of a Tennessee pastor that led to killings at the U.N. facility in Afghanistan and sparked protests across the Middle East, Politico reports.I've looked at the First Amendment and I can't find a political correctness exception anywhere. Free speech means you're going to have to allow some things you don't like. If you can burn an American flag, you can burn a Koran.
“Ten to 20 people have been killed,” Reid said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We’ll take a look at this of course. As to whether we need hearings or not, I don’t know.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham said Congress might need to explore the need to limit some forms of freedom of speech, in light of Tennessee pastor Terry Jones’ Quran burning, and how such actions result in enabling U.S. enemies.
“I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war,” Graham told CBS’ Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation” Sunday.

Senate May Investigate Koran Burning, Seek New Limits on Free Speech
Doesn't the Senate have ANYTHING else to do?

..."but we’re in a war."
Weren't we in a war when GWB was in office? But that didn't stop the lefties from spewing all sorts of anti-American venom that incited the nutters in the Middle East.
Reid, Graham, and the like should just retire. They should also be careful what they wish for, as any attack on freedom of speech could come back to bite the left on the butt, when the pendulum swings decidedly to the right, the far right.
