A mixed day for the First Amendment (from Say Anything):
With shouts of “go to hell, hippie” the Louisiana State University student who had gotten permission from the school to stage a burning of the American flag was chased off campus.
I suppose I should support the right to burn a flag as part of our First Amendment rights, but there's part of me that just loves the whole "Go to hell, hippie!" reaction from the crowd. In the i
mmortal words of Chief Wiggum:
"It's time for a good old-fashioned hippie ass-whomping!"

As a proud graduate of LSU, I can tell you that down here, we proudly fly the flag and pledge allegiance to it....not a fan of the language used, and the water thrown, but I am proud of the patriotism shown by those students! Geaux Tigers!!
