And the crowd goes...well, mild. Rumor in D.C. today is that Biden will get the heave-ho to make way for a more attractive (and less prone to dumb statements) VP candidate. As Biden would say, it's a big f'ing deal.
Word is that Obama wants NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and as a consolation prize Biden will go to State. I predicted a "replace Hillary with Biden" move way back in January of 2010, figuring Hillary would run for Prez.
Cuomo's only claim to fame as I can tell is that he just signed NY's new gay marriage law. He certainly hasn't solved NY's fiscal problems. A Cuomo-to-VP move is what I would call "lowering the bar". Cuomo really doesn't bring anything to the ticket, unless Obama was worried about losing the gay vote. It's not like NY is in play.
And how's a NY liberal going to help Obama in red states?
If it happens, this is a desperation move.

How come the media are always full of useful advice about the Republican ticket "Oooh, the Obama administration is terrified that Huntsman will win the nomination, and they're hoping that some conservative will get the nod, because they're confident they could beat the pants off a Reagan-conservative."
Yet they can't do vice-versa and tell us whether an Obama-Cuomo ticket is the one that a Republican nominee would beat the pants off of.
I loooooove desperation moves from the left.
They're just so...obvious.
