There's a War Coming

I posted a shorter version of this yesterday, but since it was Labor Day not that many people were paying attention.  I felt it might be worthwhile to expand on it and post it again today.

After listening to Teamster's President James Hoffa Jr. talk about the Tea Party and the GOP and using the violent rhetoric "let's take these sons of a bitches out", it's clear to me that a new Civil War is on the horizon. It won't be a race war, at least not in the purest sense of the term.  And it won't be a North vs. South geographic was like we had last time, but you will be able to look at a map and guess which side certain people are on.

It will be an economic war between the dependent class (Dependent America) that demands that government take care of their every need (using taxpayer funds, of course), and the productive class (Productive America) that is going to refuse to keep paying for it.  The big cities will be islands of Dependent America surrounded by vast areas of Productive America.  Those islands can be choked off.

Dependent America thinks Productive America will just continue to fork over their hard earn money at whatever increasing rate the government demands.  There's a limit to Productive America's generosity, and that limit has been reached.

The anti-Dependent America movement doesn't have to start with a gunshot, it can start with something as simple as a W-4 form.  What if tomorrow 50 million Productive Americans went to their employers and reduced their Federal withholding to the bare minimum?  Starve the beast, so to speak.  Suddenly the government would be faced with a dramatic reduction in operating funds and cuts would have to happen.  The borrowing can't go on forever.

Do you get a tax refund every year?  STOP IT!  You're just giving the government an interest free loan.  Withhold only that amount you absolutely have to and not a dime more.  Make the government earn your money.

This is a battle that's been brewing since the Great Society of the 60's and perhaps even the New Deal of the 30's and it's a fight we're going to have to have.  No sense waiting any longer - it's time to get it on.
