Board of Education Won't Allow High School to be the "Cougars" Because if Might Be Offensive to Middle-Aged Women

Geez:
New school can’t be Cougars because middle-aged women might be offended

Students at a new Utah high school are facing disappointment after their choice for a new school mascot was rejected for one of the strangest reasons possible: Board members deemed it might be seen as offensive to middle-aged women.
It's getting to where I can't even write satire anymore because the truth is even more absurd. We are going to ridiculous measures to avoid "offending" someone, as though there's some kind of right not to be offended. There isn't. These board members ought to voted out because they're clearly too dumb for the job.

So, what other animals are now off limits? They can't be sharks because that might offend lawyers. The can't be snakes because that might offend...well, lawyers. The list goes on and on.

It's beyond dumb, but that's what I've come to expect of the Boards of Education.

Gee, I though "cougars" were empowered women! The NOW gang should sue them for misogyny.
