Dems Go Buggy Over "War On Caterpillars"

This belongs in a parody site, but it's actually happening:
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is under fire for an unusual caterpillar-centric defense of the so-called Republican “war on women” in an interview scheduled to air later this week.

According to Priebus, the war on women is a fictional media narrative.

“If the Democrats said we had a war on caterpillars and mainstream media outlets talked about the fact that Republicans have a war on caterpillars, then we have problems with caterpillars,” he said on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt.”

“The fact of the matter is it’s a fiction,” he added.

Democrats wasted little time harpooning Priebus for his analogy.

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who will also be appearing on the show, issued a statement Thursday claiming that Priebus’ comments show that the GOP does not understand the issue.
The point Priebus was making is that the Dems announce a meme, the media dutifully follows along, and suddenly the GOP has a "problem". The Dems played right into his hands. Their hysterical reaction shows just how desperate they are to scare certain segments of the electorate into voting for them.

And the Obama team fell for it too, demanding the Mitt Romney issue a statement on the comments.  I'd like to think Romney's team is smart enough to ignore it, but they probably aren't.

When Piers Morgan had (pop culture commentator) Toure as a guest, they got into a heated exchange over the Martin/Zimmerman affair with Toure constantly saying that Morgan didn't understand America.

In the middle of the argument, Morgan said "What a load of fatuous nonsense you speak, Toure, don't you?" which about sums up the left's all too regular accusation that if you disagree with them, its because you don't understand something -when in reality its impossible for a reasonable person to agree with 'a load of fatuous nonsense'.
