Nothing Could Have Stopped 2008...And This Isn't 2008 Anymore

Earlier today I heard Sean Hannity on a call with a lady who was bemoaning all the Obama news which has come out recently about his past, his attempted bribery of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the dissing of Oprah Winfrey, etc., much of which is contained in a new book called "The Amateur". The lady said if this information had only been discovered prior to 2008 Americans wouldn't have made the mistake they made in electing Obama.

Sorry, not buying it.

In 2008 race overruled everything else. It was not only politically correct to help elect the first black American president, it was practically mandatory. The media didn't just have a schoolgirl crush on him, they were madly, passionately in love almost to the stalker stage. Nothing mattered short of getting this guy elected. It didn't matter that we knew so little about his past, and that what we did know was downright scary. He was black, gave a good speech, and the world was tired of President Bush and his policies and Obama was going to change all that.

Well, nearly four years later many of Bush's most controversial policies are still in place. The change that happened made things worse, and the unity we were all going to experience turned into the most racially divided the country has been since 1860. We've had 39 months of 8%+ unemployment rates, over 2 million people have dropped out of the job market altogether, gas prices have doubled, opportunities dwindled, debt has skyrocketed and nobody can say we're better off as a result of his presidency. As it turns out having black skin is not enough to pull a nation out of recession. Who knew?

The desperation of the left to save their "Black Jesus" (as David Axlerod called him) is just beginning. Mitt Romney will be hit with the dirtiest campaign in history and it will be up to conservative websites and conservatives on Twitter and Facebook to carry our message to voters since the media is still fully in the tank for Obama. It can be done, however, if we meet every Obama attack with a swift and devastating counter-attack. We did it on the dog story, the bully story, the so-called war on women, and now that Obama has thrown himself on the grenade of gay marriage getting conservatives mobilized will be much easier.  The country cannot afford another 4 years of Obama no matter how many gains we make in Congress.

Sound the trumpets - it's time to go to war.
