Gun Control Headline of the Day

You might want to rethink this, Jesse:
Lock And Load America! Jesse Jackson: ”We Are Going To March On Gun Shops Across The Country”
Let him. I've always found those paper targets to be kind of boring.

How to Achieve Racial Harmony

A good cartoon someone sent me:

Apparently "Justice for Trayvon" Means It's Open Season on White People

This is just one of several incidents:
MOBILE, Alabama --
Tuesday 8:35 p.m.
Mobile police tell News 5 they still hope to make an arrest in the Matthew Owens case before the end of the night.

Owens was beaten Saturday night in front of his home on Delmar Drive. Witnesses, including Owens sister, say 20 black people attacked Owens with pipes, paint cans and chairs. Owens is still in ICU at USA Medical Center. Weaving in and out of consciousness, Owens told his brother Lloyd, "Don't let me die."

Police continue to downplay the Trayvon Martin connection to the beating. But a neighbor confirms what his sister told News 5. The neighbor, too scared to go on camera, told News 5's Lauren Vargas that they heard one of the suspects say "This is justice for Trayvon" as she drove away.

Tonight, an angry mother who lives on the street told News 5's Blake Brown that the kids who live on Delmar Drive are the real victims.
Yeah, the kids are the victims. Mr. Owens went to beating on the poor kids' pipes, paint cans and chairs with his head. He should have known better.

Every situation like this can be laid right at the feet of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and every race pimp that's been trying to profit off the Martin case by inciting racial hatred.

UPDATE: Another "Justice for Trayvon" case.

Post-Racial America Headline of the Day

First this:
Witness: Martin attacked Zimmerman
Read it. A witness who has previously been unmentioned by the press corroborated Zimmerman's story and say Martin was attacking and beating Zimmerman when the shooting occurred. This witness's statements helped convince the police they did not have evidence that would justify a charge.

And this:
'BLACKS ARE UNDER ATTACK'
That statement from Jesse Jackson, and I agree. Blacks are under attack, from Jackson, Al Sharpton and the leaders of the Democrat party who are determined to cling to their power by ensuring black America remains a ward of the state.

Boy Burned in Racial Attack (But He Doesn't Look Like Obama's Son, So Never Mind)

Remember this story from just two weeks ago?
Police are investigating a race hate attack after a 13-year-old boy was doused in gasoline and set on fire. The teenager, who suffered first degree burns to his face and hands, is white and his two attackers black.

His mother, Melissa Coon, said the attackers told her son ‘This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy’.

He noticed two older boys following him and as he arrived at his home the pair threw gas on him. ‘They rushed him on the porch as he tried to get the door open,’ Mrs Coon told KMBC-TV.

‘[One of them] poured the gasoline, then flicked the Bic, and said, ‘This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy‘.
I'm currently searching the web for pictures from the rally Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson had for this boy, and for the presidential statement issued by Obama. For some reason I'm having trouble finding them.

Political Quote of the Day

From Jesse Jackson:
"Say, it's an honor to be a food stamp president."
I was thinking we need a new Reagan to save the country, but perhaps we really need a new Lincoln to once again free the slaves, the slaves to government programs.

"The Help" Is An Interesting Contract In the Racism of the Early 60's and Today

I went to see the movie "The Help" yesterday and enjoyed it. It's well done, well cast, and carries a good message. Seeing the racism that was an everyday part of life in the South as late as the early 60's is kind of jarring, especially for those who didn't live it. Personally, it's hard for me to believe that was still going on during my early years, but I know it was.

What kind of jumped out at me as the movie progressed is how disingenuous people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are when the claim that America is still a racist country. Both of those guys, along with most members of the Black Congressional Congress, lived that racism of the 50's and 60's first hand. And yet to hear them speak today, you'd think nothing had changed since 1963.

If nothing else, it's worth watching the movie to see what racism really looked like and how far we've come in the past 40 years. When you walk out you'll never listen to anything Jackson, Sharpton, or the Black Congressional Caucus ever says again.

"Racers"

I'm a NASCAR fan, but this time the term "racers" has nothing to do with going fast and turning left.  Well, at least not the going fast part.

We've had some fringe groups called "truthers" and "birthers", and now we can add "racers" to the list.  These are the people who attempt to turn every criticism of Obama or every attempt to cut the budget into an excuse to accuse someone of racism.  The "racers" patron saints are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, though pretty much every liberal politician or pundit has at one time or another attempted the race card.

I personally like the idea of labeling the problem children on the left this way.  It immediately dilutes their impact and marginalizes their message.   An accusation of racism used to carry a powerful stigma with it.  Not anymore. Today it's more likely a reflection on the accuser than the accused.

Jesse Jackson Has a Gay Harassment Problem

Among many others:
A former employee of the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. at the Rainbow Push Coalition has filed a bombshell wrongful termination and discrimination complaint against the civil rights leader with the City of Chicago's Commission on Human Rights.

The complaint, filed sometime last year by Tommy R. Bennett, a regular on the Tom Joyner Radio show and member of Barack Obama's LGBT Leadership Council, includes shocking allegations about Jackson's behavior toward the openly gay staffer including an allegation that the civil rights leader propositioned him.

Jackson has denied the allegations in a legal response that was filed in July 2010 and resurfaced when the Windy City Times published a story Tuesday.

Bennett, 55, claims Jackson ridiculed him in front of other employees and required him to perform "humiliating tasks" like escorting women to Jackson's various hotel rooms, cleaning up after alleged trysts and packing his clothing. It also includes an allegation that Jackson asked for oral sex, according to the claim. Jackson flatly denied each claim in his response.
Jackson's a snake and everybody knows it. Ever since his love child showed up the weekend Bush was inaugurated, a story which was quickly buried after Jackson spent a whole three days in self-imposed exile, there hasn't been any question that he's a playboy with a clerical title.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's something else in his closet besides girlfriends, too.

What Are You Doing to Celebrate Fred Korematsu Day?

Whose day?  I asked the same the thing when I saw the press release, but I think the program probably tells you more about this day than anything:
BERKELEY, CA (1/30)- January 30th marks the first annual Fred Korematsu Day in California, the first day in U.S. history named after an Asian American. The Fred Korematsu Day bill, signed into California law in September 2010, honors an American civil rights hero from Oakland, CA who bravely resisted the government’s incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II.

Several hundred people are expected to attend the first annual Fred Korematsu Day celebration on Sunday at UC Berkeley’s Wheeler auditorium. The program, sponsored by the Korematsu Institute, includes:

- Keynote speaker Reverend Jesse Jackson

- Def Poetry Jam spoken word artist Beau Sia

- Karen Korematsu, daughter of Fred Korematsu

- California Assemblymember Warren Furutani (D – South Los Angeles) co-sponsor of the Fred Korematsu Day bill

- California Assemblymember Marty Block (D – San Diego), co-sponsor of the Fred Korematsu Day bill

- Speeches from students who attend schools named after Fred Korematsu

- A video message from Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim elected to U.S. Congress.
So, the keynote speaker is Jesse Jackson, a guy who's about as Asian as a taco, and a video will be presented from the first Muslim member of Congress. And the whole thing is taking place in Berkeley, so you know this has to be some sort of liberal Woodstock.

So, who was Fred Korematsu?
During World War II, Korematsu was a 23-year-old welder in Oakland, California who defied military orders that ultimately led to the evacuation and incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans. After he was arrested and convicted of defying the military’s incarceration order, he took his case to the U.S. Supreme Court, which in 1944 upheld his conviction on the ground that the forced removal of Japanese Americans was justified due to “military necessity.” That decision has been widely condemned as one of the darkest chapters in American legal history.

After four decades of having to live with a “disloyalty” conviction on his record that limited him from securing full-time work, Korematsu filed suit to reopen his case on proof that the government, when arguing his case during the war, had suppressed, altered, and destroyed material evidence that contradicted the government’s claim of military necessity. In 1983, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California granted his petition for a writ of error coram nobis (a notice of error) and overturned his conviction. It was a pivotal moment in civil rights history that helped lead to the Civil Liberties Act of 1988, whereby the U.S. Government paid $20,000 to each survivor of the Japanese American incarceration camps.
So, he was the man responsible for the Japanese reparation payments, and that tells me why Jesse Jackson is involved. He has his own sights set on reparation payments.   I guess he's hoping a little of that old Korematsu magic will wear off on him.

The Wheels Come Off For Jesse Jackson

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy:
Add Jesse Jackson’s ride to prominent vehicles being stripped in Detroit.

Following the embarrassing news that Mayor Dave Bing’s GMC Yukon was hijacked by criminals this week, Detroit’s Channel 7 reports that the Reverend’s Caddy Escalade SUV was stolen and stripped of its wheels while he was in town last weekend with the UAW’s militant President Bob King leading the “Jobs, Justice, and Peace” march promoting government-funded green jobs.

Read that again: Jackson’s Caddy SUV was stripped while he was in town promoting green jobs.

Add Jesse to the Al Gore-Tom Friedman-Barack Obama School of Environmental Hypocrisy. While preaching to Americans that they need to cram their families into hybrid Priuses to go shopping for compact fluorescent light bulbs to save the planet, they themselves continue to live large.
Sounds like the car thieves in Detroit prefer Government Motors products.

NAALCP: Tea Parties Are RACIST!

The National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People is about to have their annual klan meeting convention and they're planning to pass a resolution condemning the mythical racism of the Tea Party movement:
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will propose a resolution this week condemning racism within the tea party movement.

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

NAACP leaders said the resolution was necessary to make people aware of what they believe is a racist element within the tea party movement.

“I think a lot of people are not taking the tea party movement seriously, and we need to take it seriously,” said Anita Russell, head of the Kansas City chapter of the NAACP. “We need to realize it’s really not about limited government.”

Russell said she was “pretty certain” the resolution would pass.
In reality the NAACP would have a hard time today finding anything more racist than their own name. And, or course, they see no racism with the Congressional Black Caucus which expressly forbids white members.

This once respected organization has become a joke, much like the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons of the civil rights world who long ago lost their moral high ground.

Jesse Jackson Injects Slavery Into the NBA

Oh brother:
CHICAGO -- Jesse Jackson criticized Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert on Sunday, saying Gilbert sees LeBron James as a "runaway slave" and that the owner's comments after the free-agent forward decided to join the Miami Heat put the player in danger.

Shortly after James announced his decision last week, Gilbert fired off an incendiary letter to Cleveland's fans, ripping the 25-year-old and promising to deliver a title before James wins one. He called James' decision "cowardly" and later told The Associated Press he believes James quit during a handful of Cavaliers playoff games.

"He has gotten a free pass," Gilbert told the AP in a phone interview late Thursday night. "People have covered up for [James] for way too long. Tonight we saw who he really is."

Jackson said Gilbert's comments were "mean, arrogant and presumptuous."

"He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers," the reverend said in a release from his Chicago-based civil rights group, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. "His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship -- between business partners -- and LeBron honored his contract."
Everything is slavery and racism with guys like Jackson.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the race hustlers apart. Just look at the reaction on Jesse Jackson as he's introduced on MSNBC as Al Sharpton:

The Race-Baiters Ride Again

Once again Rush Limbaugh gives Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson a reason to live:
The Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson attacked the bid by Rush Limbaugh to buy the St. Louis Rams on Monday, saying the conservative radio host's track record on race should exclude him from owning an NFL team.

Sharpton sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, arguing that Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in some of his comments.

Jackson said in a telephone interview that Limbaugh had made his wealth "appealing to the fears of whites" with an unending line of insults against blacks and other minorities.

"The National Football League has set high standards for racial justice and inclusion," Jackson said. "He should not have the privilege of owning an NFL franchise — and it is a privilege." The civil rights leader said he's had contact with numerous players and ex-players concerned about the bid.

Limbaugh shot back at Sharpton on his radio show.

"Now, this saddens me as well this disappoints me," he said. "I know Rev. Sharpton. Sharpton is better than this. He knows better than this. You know, I didn't judge Al Sharpton's fitness to be in radio when he wanted to earn an honest living for once, given his well-documented past as the author of the Tawana Brawley hoax. I believe in freedom and I also don't discriminate."

Do you want to know about Rush's real history of discrimination? James Golden, otherwise known as Rush Limbaugh's long-time producer and call screener "Bo Snerdley", is black. Golden has worked for Limbaugh for years and years and is the guy responsible to deciding who gets on the air. It's a huge responsibility for such a major show.

I've listened to Rush since probably 1991. He is not in any way a racist. If I thought he was a racist I wouldn't listen to him. He doesn't like the racial politics of people like Sharpton and Jackson and he's not afraid to blast them, but he is no racist.

He's also a huge fan of NFL football, and given that the league has a large percentage of black players, it's the height of silliness to suggest he's unfit for ownership because of racism. A racist wouldn't want anything to do with that sport, let alone have an ownership position where he's responsible for paying millions of dollars to black athletes.

Sharpton and Jackson need a reason to get their race-baiting mugs on TV. This is it.

The Fear of Being Called "Racist" Does More Damage These Days Than Actual Racism

There was a time when racism was a real problem in this country. Public officials (mostly Democrat) standing in doorways blocking access to black students, acts of violence against minorities, prejudice in a lot of different forms making the American dream difficult if not impossible for some of our citizens.

However, that day is passed. Acts of actual, bonafide racism are few and far between in this country. At least, racism as we used to know it. There is still racism, but it's coming from those who would cloak themselves in its mantle and declare themselves victims.

Today the fear of being called "racist" is doing more harm than actual racism.

It was the fear of being called "racist" that gave us the New Haven, CT firefighter case in which a test was thrown out because minorities didn't score well enough for liberal city officials. And it was the fear of being called "racist" that kept Republican Senators from properly attacking the credentials of Judge Sonia Sotomayor, whose own words and writings have all the hallmarks of being racist and sexist.

And now it's the fear of being called "racist" which compels the city of Cambridge, MA to turn its back on one of its finest police officers because he dared to arrest a black man who broke into a house, refused to identify himself, and created a disturbance - while screaming that he was the victim of racism, of course. The city has offered an apology, but it's the racist Harvard professor who ought to be apologizing (read the police report).

And the list goes on. The City of Los Angeles didn't dare ask for remuneration for the huge costs of police protection and city services for the Michael Jackson funeral out of fear the black community would call them "racist".

Affirmative Action programs punish achievement and reward less qualified people simple because of the color of their skin. How does that help us achieve racial harmony when one group is discriminated against in favor of another?

The "War on Poverty", which was supposed to help us atone for past racial sins, has thrown trillions of dollars at the problem and accomplished absolutely nothing...except the destruction of the black family by replacing fathers with government checks. Today more than 70% of black kids are born out of wedlock and gang members replace father figures in young people's lives.

City leaders nationwide live in fear that something that happens in their communities will bring Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson and their media hounds to town to decry whatever mysterious "racism" might have occurred. Business leaders used to fear Mike Wallace and the 60 Minutes crew. They'd gladly take Wallace over the extortion offered by Jackson and Sharpton these days.

And while all this is going on, the first black president of the U.S., the man who promised us a post-racial America, just feeds the hysteria and deepens the divide. There's nothing post-racial about Barack Obama. He is a product of his past mentors, and it's a sordid collection of twisted minds that shaped his earlier years.

Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a country in which people would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

It'll never happen.

Not because racism against minorities will never go away - it's largely gone - but because there are people who make their living creating racial strife and disharmony. Complicit with them are those in positions of power, either in politics or the media, who don't have the guts to call them on it out of fear they'll be called "racist" too.

Or perhaps, because they too are benefitting from the manufactured strife.

It's a real shame. America should be better than this.

The Second Autopsy

Here's how you make sure you get the results you want:
The Jackson family has hired a private pathologist who completed a second autopsy on the performer's body today, according to sources familiar with the case.

The second autopsy came a day after an initial examination by the L.A. County coroner’s office did not immediately determine a cause of death. Officials said additional lab tests, including a toxicology screen, were required to uncover why the 50-year-old pop starwent into cardiac arrest in his rented Holmby Hills mansion Thursday.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who visited the performer’s family Friday, said in a “Good Morning America” interview today that his relatives had a host of questions about the circumstances of his death. He indicated the key area of concern had to do with Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was by his side when he stopped breathing.

"When did the doctor come? What did he do? Did he inject him? If so, with what?" Jackson said. "Was he on the scene twice? Before and then reaction to? Did he use the Demerol? It's a very powerful drug. Was he injected once? Was he injected twice?"

I have a comment, but it's pretty well summed up by my buddy Dale from Texas who sent me his thoughts:
Jackson family gets private autopsy after official, county autopsy. I predict this is so they can then dispute the findings of the county coroner. Jackson most likely died of some type of drug influence, the Jackson camp will spin this thing to make him look better. Also, they may try to pin the abundance of drugs that will me found in Jackson's body on the good Doctor, so as to make MJ appear as the poor victim, rather than the broken, drug addicted, wacko (regretfully) he was...
Yep.

A couple of other interesting things are going on. Notice how fast Jesse Jackson tried to jump in front of this parade? And the news is reporting that Al Sharpton says the family wants to organize a series of memorials to take place all around the world. Why would Jesse and Al be involved in this case? There's no racial angle that I can see (both Jackson and the doctor were black). I'm guessing both are seeing a wonderful opportunity for free publicity, not to mention the possibility of raking in a fortune on the memorial to come.

I wonder if one of these days soon we'll hear that Jesse and Al got into a wrestling match in the driveway of the Jackson compound in Encino over who is going to give the featured eulogy at the memorial services.

The whole thing is sure to be a circus before it's all over.

You might want to read this article too. There's some pretty interesting background on Jackson's last few years that I haven't heard in the mainstream press.

What Would Abe Do?

Abraham Lincoln, that is. As I write this the president-elect is making his Lincoln throwback train trip. There will be lots of comparisons to Lincoln, for right or wrong, during this whole inauguration festival.

Last night, while waiting in the lounge area at Macy's for the wife to shop, I caught part of "Larry King is Still Alive" on CNN and he was doing a panel discussion with CNN reporter John King, David Gergen, and Washington Post reporter Chris Cillizza. They were discussing the whole Lincoln thing and Larry asks "What would Lincoln think about the inauguration of Obama"?

The reporters, obviously in awe of this whole thing, waxed poetically about how moved Lincoln would be and all that stuff. I, however, had a very different reaction.

I think Lincoln would have been embarrassed and ashamed that it took America 143 years after his passing to elect a black president, and I'm sure he'd be appalled that these many years later the civil rights "leaders" of this country are still bound and determined to split this country along racial lines. I would imagine that Lincoln would have thought that much more progress on race would have been made long ago.

Lincoln would toss Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton right out on their butts if they came to him with the demands they still make today. He'd be shocked that these two charlatans are allowed to speak for black America. Jackson and Sharpton exist for one reason - to extort money from guilty white liberals or scared corporate titans.

I'm sure Lincoln would be proud to know that his efforts to free the slaves and unite the country eventually resulted in a black president, but I can't believe he'd be thrilled that it took so long. And he certainly wouldn't be thrilled with the state of civil rights activism in America today.
