Terror Attack in Southern California

You won't see the huge fire in Southern California listed in the media as a terror attack, but it certainly could be. If someone starts a fire in wildland area at 1am just as Santa Ana winds are starting, it's clearly their intent to destroy a lot of property and take lives in the process. It would be a natural for a terrorist.

The arsonist(s) has already succeeded in killing four firemen and a fifth is critical. With winds exceeding 40 mph in the fire area, it has quickly grown to 10,000 acres and could grow very quickly. The area on fire is not highly populated, but it won't take long for a fire moving at that pace to hit very populated developments.

The sky over my house is a sick brownish-red as the smoke drifts this way. It probably won't be long until little pieces of what's left of the Inland Empire start falling on my house.

As posted earlier, today is the third anniversary of the devastating Cedar Fire in San Diego County. The weather conditions today are similar to 2003. The question now is whether the loss of life and property destruction will be similar.
