Your Official Guide to President's Day

Now that the Federal government has eliminated the Lincoln and Washington birthday holidays and replaced it with the generic "President's Day", it's only fitting that we honor all of our presidents. Figuring that most people who get the holiday off have a typical 8am - 5pm workday, I've set up a handy schedule for you to ensure that you're honoring the correct president at the correct time. We don't want anyone to be left out or to get more honoring then their term in office deserves.

I took each president's term and divided it up proportionally during the 9 hour day to give each man his due. Here you go:
  • 8:00 am - George Washington

  • 8:19 am - John Adams

  • 8:29 am - Thomas Jefferson

  • 8:48 am - James Madison

  • 9:08 am - James Monroe

  • 9:28 am - John Quincy Adams

  • 9:37 am - Andrew Jackson

  • 9:57 am - Martin Van Buren

  • 10:07 am - William Henry Harrison (for only 30 seconds - he only had a 31 day term)

  • 10:07:30 am - John Tyler

  • 10:17 am - James Polk

  • 10:27 am - Zachary Taylor

  • 10:30 am - Millard Fillmore

  • 10:36 am - Franklin Pierce

  • 10:46 am - James Buchanon

  • 10:56 am - Abraham Lincoln

  • 11:06 am - Andrew Johnson

  • 11:16 am - Ullyses S. Grant
