O'Bubble Boy

Commenter Jan makes a good point in another post regarding Barack Obama's allergic reactions to any kind of criticism - he's become the political version of the Bubble Boy. Just about any criticism is greeting with cries of racism or fear. Mention his middle name, and you're engaged in the politics of fear worthy of a rebuke from Michelle Obama, John McCain or the Republican Party. Mention his lack of qualifications, and you're trying to keep a black man down. Compare his appearance to a cartoon character - even in jest - and you're playing to the worst of racial stereotypes.

So, what is the proper and correct way to address O'Bubble Boy? How about "Glowbama"

They left out the halo.

This reminds me of the treatment Rolling Stone gave Al Gore in 2000. He was pictured on the cover in tight pants and certain *ahem* "attributes" had been artificially enhanced. See below:

Maybe Rolling Stone didn't feel that O'Bubble Boy needed that special treatment.

If Obama gets the nomination, by November it will be racist even to mention his last name.

And, what will the Obamites say about this:
The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll asked respondents what Barack Obama's religion is.

Among registered voters, 37 percent said Protestant. Two percent said Catholic, two percent said "other," two percent said "none."

Forty-four percent said they weren't sure or refused to answer.

Thirteen percent answered "Muslim."

When the same pollster asked the question in December, 18 percent said Protestant, 2 percent said Catholic, 8 percent said Muslim, and 70 percent didn't know or refused to answer.

Obama belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side. Having said that,
considering Rev. Jeremiah Wright's recent comments, (more here) Islam might be less controversial at this point.
The Clinton whisper campaign is working.
