There Will Be a 50 State Roll Call

Well, after all the backroom machinations and negotiations, Hillary's supporters will get their 50 state roll call:
Delegates at the Democratic National Convention are filling out their tally sheets Wednesday to be turned in quickly so the roll call for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton can begin promptly at 5 p.m. ET.

Obama aide Jenny Backus said one nominating speech and two seconding speeches for Clinton will be offered followed by four speeches — one nominating and three seconding speeches — for Obama. The event will take about 30 minutes.

Afterward, the tally sheets will be collected and the roll call will begin with each state’s delegation chair reporting the results.

FOX News has confirmed that there will be no stoppage and 50 states will “have their say.”

According to a senior Clinton adviser, Clinton will announce the Empire State’s delegate total from the floor during the formal roll call vote conducted by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The move is designed to further underscore Clinton’s support for Obama.

Democratic officials close to Clinton had said they planned to have someone — perhaps Clinton herself — cut off the vote after a few states.

Sonja Jaquez Lewis, a Clinton delegate from Boulder County in Colorado, said she and others may walk out if Clinton is denied a roll call.

“If we don’t have an official roll call vote state-by-state, it is going to reopen a wound,” said Lewis, adding that she would do whatever Clinton asks of her delegates.

Now the question becomes just how may votes will Clinton actually get? Will her voters hold on and defy the call for unity, or will her vote total come close to Obama's?

I'm guessing she'll probably lose some support, but will still get a healthy number of votes.
