Obama Spends Hundreds of Millions to Gain 1.1%

Don Surber has some interesting stats on the changes in the polls over the last year:

The Real Clear Politics Average of presidential polls shows what a year of campaigning and hundreds of millions have gotten Democrat Barack Obama.

Not much.

The RCP Average averages the latest national polls.

On Oct. 20, 2007, Obama led McCain 43.0% to 39.3%.
On Oct. 20, 2008, Obama 48.8%, McCain 44.0%.

Now, Obama just has to play the string out. His numbers went up 5.8 in that time, McCain 4.7.

Winning bets losing.

But there is less efficiency than meets the eye in Camp Obama.

That even rivals the $49 million that Rudy Giulini spent for his one convention delegate.
