Obama to Spend Labor Day in Home of Labor's Biggest Success Story....Detroit?

Who thought this was a good idea?
Washington — President Barack Obama will visit Detroit on Labor Day for the annual celebration of workers, a White House official said today.
The most obvious question is this: Is anyone still working in Detroit?
Obama will be joined by national AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka, United Auto Workers President Bob King, Teamsters President James P. Hoffa and Service Employees International President Mary Kay Henry.
Ah, the representatives of the very organizations which made Detroit the modern day Garden of Eden that it is.  If there's any city on earth that ought to be a monument to what can happen when labor unions run unchecked and out-of-control, it's Detroit.  That's nothing to celebrate.
