Palin Reminds Us of Real Terrorists That Obama Hung Out With

Obama may not like Tea Party people and his VP chooses to call them terrorists, but Sarah Palin reminds everyone that it's Obama who has a history of "palling around" with terrorists.

Monday night, Sarah Palin was willing to shrug off Vice President Joe Biden's alleged name-calling about the tea party. But she seems to have woken up Tuesday substantially angrier about the (supposed) tagging of her constituency as "terrorists."

If the president wants to see "domestic terrorists," Palin said, maybe he ought to look at his own past — to his association with figures like William Ayers, the '60s Weathermen radical.

“Independent, patriotic Americans who desire fiscal sanity in our beloved nation do not deserve to be called terrorists,” Palin said in an interview on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show. “If we were domestic terrorists, I think the president would want to pal around with us. He didn’t have a problem with Bill Ayers.”

Speaking from her Alaska home studio, Palin added, “Shaking hands with Chavez, saying he doesn't have preconditions for meeting with dictators, wanting to read Miranda rights to suspected terrorists … if we were all domestic terrorists, I think the president would want to pal around with us.”

I hope Palin stays involved in the 2012 election. I don't particularly want her to run, but I enjoy it when she goes after Democrats like this.

The Collapse of the Middle East

James Simpson at American Thinker has a thought-provoking and frankly scary piece:

If Egypt should fall, it will mark the beginning of the end for what little remaining stability there is in the Middle East.  Jordan is facing similar unrest, as are Algeria and Yemen.  Lebanon and Tunisia fell in January.  It is highly unlikely that these events are unrelated.  A combination of leftist and Islamist forces provoked the protests, and we are likely looking at a ring of radical Islamic states rising up to surround Israel.  Once their power is solidified, perhaps in a year or two, they will combine forces to attack Israel.  If Israel falls, the United States will stand alone in a sea of virulent enemies and impotent allies.

So whom does Obama support, Mubarak or his enemies?

Obama wasted no time in telling us.  He supports Mubarak's opponents, and he probably has been all along.  The Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday that the Obama administration favors a rolefor the Muslim Brotherhood in a new Egyptian government.

The Muslim Brotherhood, the oldest extremist Muslim organization, is behind practically every Muslim terrorist organization ever formed.  And while they may have publicly renounced violence as the LA Times article claims, internal documents tell a completely different story.

And if that weren't bad enough, Obama's latest comment to Egypt's leader is that "an orderly transition ... must begin now."

Must begin.  Now.

Simply stunning.

Juxtapose Obama's statements toward our allies with his reaction to the genuine uprising that occurred last year in Iran.  Tunisia: "Reform or be overthrown."  Egypt: "an orderly transition ... must begin now."  Iran: "It is not productive ... to be seen as meddling."  Meanwhile, candidate Obama claimed that the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezb'allah have "legitimate claims," and we all remember his mindless counterterrorism czar, John Brennan, reaching out to "moderate" Hezb'allah members last spring.  Hezb'allah moderates?

The seeming inconsistency is astonishing.  Unfortunately, there is a consistency.  Obama uniformly sides with our enemies but rarely, if ever, with our friends and allies.  His administration is packed with far-left radicals and vicious anti-Semites.  And therein lies the rub, because what we are witnessing in reality is this president's un-American, anti-American, treasonous ideology in full play.

Perhaps this is the real reason for Bill Ayers's, Bernardine Dohrn's, Code Pink's Medea Benjamin's and Jody Evans's trips to Egypt in 2009.  Following those trips, these same people made multiple visits to the White House.

Obama's breathlessly arrogant answer?  Not the same Ayers, Dohrn, Benjamin, and Evans.  Sure.

As scary as this is, it does remind me of a quartet song written by a friend of mine, the late Roger Bennett of The Cathedral Quartet: I've Read the Back of the Book and We Win (video at the link).  Perhaps my belief doesn't make this story as scary as it might be to others because I don't think Israel can ever be defeated by any forces in this world, no matter how many nutty Muslims surround their land.

Certainly the Middle East will become significantly more unstable if government after government falls and is replaced by radical Muslims.   And could all this be paving the way toward the Biblical end of days?  I'll have to leave that to the religious scholars who study that stuff.

University Faculty Runs to Terrorist's Defense

When unrepentant domestic terrorist and Obama friend William Ayers was denied an honorary title at the University of Illinois many of us cheered.  Board chairman Robert Kennedy Jr. wasn't about to give honor to a man who dedicate a book to his father's killer.

Well, let not your hearts be troubled, terrorist fans, the school's faculty is running to Ayers' rescue:

Faculty at the University of Illinois reportedly are considering whether to step to the defense of 1960's radical William Ayers after the board of trustees decided two weeks ago to deny him emeritus status.

The Chicago Tribune reported Friday that some members of the faculty may ask the board to reconsider. They've expressed concern that the decision ended up being personal -- Chairman Christopher Kennedy opposed granting the status for Ayers, noting that he dedicated a book to the man who killed his father, Robert F. Kennedy.

Ayers was a co-founder of the Weather Underground. He also once worked on a Chicago charity board with now-President Obama, a detail that caused trouble for Obama during his campaign. According to the Tribune, one retired professor drafted a resolution suggesting the Faculty Senate appeal to the board.

"The chair had a conflict of interest and he put the other trustees in an impossible position," retired professor Elliott Kaufman told the newspaper. "He drew a dotted line between the assassination of the Kennedy brothers and giving Bill Ayers emeritus status. The result is what we got, and I just don't think it was a fair way to do it."

For one brief shining moment there was sanity in academia.

Terrorist Quote of the Day

From Robert F. Kennedy Jr., speaking about a terrorist who was seeking emeritus status at the University of Illinois:

“I am guided by my conscience and one which has been formed by a series of experiences, many of which have been shared with the people of our country and mark each of us in a profound way… [I cannot vote for] a man whose body of work includes a book dedicated in part to the man who murdered my father.”

That terrorist is none other than Obama friend, neighbor, mentor, and probably ghost-writer William Ayers.

This is one of the rare occasions I agree with something RFK Jr. said.

Obama Doesn't 'Get' America

Peter Kirsanow at The Corner has a nice essay on the president who doesn't get America:

President Obama’s statements regarding the proposed Ground Zero mosque are the latest in a series of indicators that we are at a very peculiar pass: We have a president who doesn’t get America. For the first time in history we have a president whose default setting is in opposition to the general sensibilities of the American people. His behavior too frequently suggests that he’s playing a cosmic joke on Americans’ essential decency, considered patriotism, and belief in American exceptionalism.

You don’t need to have been a lecturer in constitutional law like Obama to know that the mosque’s backers have a right to build at Ground Zero. Polls show that Americans overwhelmingly acknowledge that right. But unlike the president, when his fellow Americans think of the construction of a mosque on Ground Zero, their view doesn’t begin and end with the First Amendment and local zoning ordinances. Rather, their view is of images that the mainstream media has done their best to airbrush out of our collective consciousness: Americans leaping out of windows and plunging — seemingly interminably — to their deaths to avoid incineration; first responders pulling charred remains from the smoking rubble of the collapsed towers; New Yorkers searching frantically for evidence that loved ones escaped the horror. That Obama, as the leader of the nation, fails to recognize that the situation calls for more than a sophomoric analysis that could be rendered by any first-year law student is disquieting.

As Dorothy Rabinowitz has noted, Obama’s alienation from the citizenry is just beginning to be more broadly revealed, but has been on display since the 2008 campaign.The media either failed to report it or chastised anyone who dared notice. When some remarked about Obama’s refusal to do something as simple as wear a flag lapel pin, they were pronounced unsophisticated and jingoistic. Obama’s casual stance during the playing of the “Star Spangled Banner” was declared a triviality. When Reverend Wright was caught shouting ” G–damn America!” those who wondered whether Obama’s 20 years in Wright’s pews might suggest ideological concurrence were dismissed as alarmist. When some expressed concern that Obama might agree with his wife that America is a “downright mean country” and that perhaps he, too, for the first time in his adult life, was proud of his country, they were told to grow up.

Then Obama’s association with Bill Ayers emerged and the mainstream media closed ranks and refused, as long as they could, to even report it. And when Obama expressed unalloyed contempt for Midwesterners who “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment,” a phalanx formed to assure the public of his pure intentions.

There were other instances throughout the campaign and first months in office suggesting that for Obama, multiculturalism trumps national unity and moral relativism supersedes cultural confidence. His serial apologies for America, embrace of America-hating Hugo Chávez, and supplication to foreign thugs are consistent with a “blame America first” mentality that may be unremarkable for a political science professor but is toxic for the leader of the greatest nation in history.

But perhaps most emblematic of Obama’s self-identification was his proud declaration, before a vast crowd in Berlin, that he is a “citizen of the world.” Most Americans believe that that world would be a much darker place without the United States of America. And they would be pleased if their president could express that belief without being patronizing, self-referential, or defensive.

But to do so, it’s helpful to get America and Americans.

As I've said before, this president was raised to hate America. None of this is surprising given his past.

Ignorance, Incompetence, or Invention

The Arizona immigration bill has stirred up all kinds of predictable reactions from the wacky left.  It's also stirred up predictable demagoguery from the president.  Speaking to a hand-picked crowd in Ottumwa, IA the president made this comment about the new law:

"Now, suddenly, if you don't have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you're going to get harassed -- that's something that could potentially happen ... That's not the right way to go."

There are three possible reasons Obama would make that statement that is as factually incorrect as that one is:

• He doesn't know what's actually in the law and is speaking from ignorance.
• He's read the law but doesn't understand it, which means he's speaking from incompetence.
• He knows what's in the law, doesn't like it, and is therefore inventing his own facts.  You can also call that lying.

I'm going with the third option.

In my recent piece "America, Face It, Your President Was Raised to Hate You" I talked about the many corrupting influences in Obama's past.  He was surrounded by people who hated police, and in at least one case (William Ayers) tried to kill cops.  He undoubtedly heard sermons from Jeremiah Wright which claimed police oppression against blacks, and I'm convinced he grew up with a hatred of law enforcement which continues to color his judgment today.  We saw it in the Cambridge incident and we'll probably see it again in the near future.

This is not a secret.  I'm not revealing some great truth here.  This has been known for a long time by a lot of people, including those whose job it was to report such things to you during the 2008 primaries and general election.  However, they chose not to.  They were afraid, afraid to be called a racist and afraid that their vision of a liberal utopia would be destroyed and a cranky old white man would get elected.

Obama's past is littered with radicals and crazies who served as his mentors, advisors and pastors.  His mind has been polluted by terrible ideas since boyhood.  We shouldn't be surprised at what we see today.

His youth in Hawaii was spent in an almost father-son relationship with an avowed communist, Frank Marshall Davis.  Do you think Davis was teaching Obama about the greatness of America and the merits of dynamic capitalism?

For 22 years his pastor was Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a racist America-hater whose rantings caused the Obama campaign some minor embarrassment but little real trouble since the mainstream media refused to show the incendiary sermons that "damned" America.  Obama claimed to have sat under his preaching for all those years yet never heard anything like what was found on the excerpts that surfaced during the campaign.  Was Wright counseling the young Chicago politician in the inherent goodness of the American people and the exceptionalism that makes America a shining light in a dark world?

His neighbor and good friends were William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant domestic terrorists who tried to kill cops and military personnel when protesting the Vietnam War.  Many suspect that Ayers was the actual author of Obama's first book and the puppetmaster behind the Obama's rise in politics.  What do you think Ayers and Dorhn love most about America and how they might have passed that love on to their community organizer neighbor Obama?

His wife Michelle proclaimed during the campaign that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country?  What kind of twisted view of America has she contributed to the president?

Obama is the classic academic liberal, long on book knowledge and theory but lacking in practical experience.  The books say how things should work in a liberal utopia, and the coffeehouse discussions explain how it will all work, but there is no practical evidence of truth based on actual experience.  It's all a pipe dream.

Obama has been raised to believe that America is not exceptional and a beacon of freedom and hope, but in fact is the source of most evil in the world today.  America is an arrogant superpower and until she can be brought down to the level of the rest of the world we'll never be able to solve global warming, bring peace throughout the nations, and live in a world where there are rainbows and unicorns for everyone.

To accomplish this America must be weakened.  Our economic system must be damaged beyond repair, our military neutered, and our people subjugated by the government to ensure that no one prospers and starts thinking for themselves.  Americans must be dependent on their government so America can take it's rightful place among failing socialist democracies.

Americans must be taxed at levels designed to punish achievement and reward sloth.  Those who achieve must be forced by regulation and threat to give their bounty away to those who have done nothing to earn it other than breathe and vote for Democrats.  A minority of Americans must pay the bills for the majority.  With 47% of households not paying ANY income tax, we're getting very close to that liberal ideal.

Obama's life-long hatred of America, developed and nurtured over the years by the radicals and crazies he was drawn to, is now being played out in real life.  It's no longer an academic exercise, but a real and growing tragedy for this country.

And it was all very predictable.  Maybe if he hadn't been a "clean and articulate" liberal black man who could give a good speech the media might have done its job and vetted him with the intensity they applied to Sarah Palin.  Maybe they would have discovered his past full of lefties, loons and really dangerous people and would have reported it with the same earnestness they reported Palin's daughter's pregnancy.

Yeah, and maybe this is the week I'll get my rainbows and unicorns.

Fox News is Saving Obama

Fox News, the network Obama loves to hate and avoid, may actually be saving his scrawny neck, according to a theory proposed by Don Surber:

For a man who has spent the last 2 years doing what he could to fight Fox News — he sank its one and only scheduled Democratic presidential debate by boycotting the event — Barack Obama sure owes Fox News for protecting himself from himself.

Time and time again, Fox News has forced Obama to throw under his political bus some very dangerous people.

Fox News has done this by putting journalism first, political correctness last.

The Hillary Clinton campaign shopped the Rev. Jeremiah Wright story to network after network. Finally Fox News bit and the rest is history. A race-baiting, America-hating man who was the inspiration for “The Audacity Of Hope” book was gone.

Then there was Bill Ayers. And so on, through Van Jones.

And now, ACORN. The administration has cut ties with ACORN after Glenn Beck exposed ACORN workers helping a woman pimp 13-year-old illegal immigrants.

Incredible.

Fox News is doing the nation a favor by doing its job.

I have a theory. Obama is not so sure of his racial identity. He seeks street cred. He thinks race haters like Van Jones help him.

They are poison.

By forcing Obama to abandon him,Fox News saves him and his presidency.

That’s not its purpose, of course. It is only doing its job without regard to ideology.

But the unintended consequence is good for a president who is too trusting of those who hate their own country.

I think Don is probably right. However, it's a sure bet that we'd never hear about any of the kooks in the Obama administration were it not for Fox. The other networks studiously avoid any mention of them and until Fox outs them, who knows what damage they may be doing?

Obama's Terrorist Buddy Urges Him Not to Honor Confederate War Dead

William Ayers, Chicago professor and unrepentant domestic terrorist, didn't want his buddy Barack Obama to continue the tradition of sending a White House wreath to the memorial for Confederate war dead. He was unsuccessful:

Today, there were wreaths to go around.

Several dozen professors had called upon the first African-American president to forgo a Memorial Day tradition of laying a wreath at a monument to Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery, the grand hillside preserve across the Potomac River from the Capitol on the onetime estate of Gen. Robert E. Lee.

Instead, the White House sent wreathes to both the Confederate memorial at Arlington and to the African American Civil War Memorial in Washington's historically black U Street neighborhood north of the Capitol.

Presidents traditionally visit Arlington to personally leave a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns, bearing the remains of unidentified U.S. military members who died at war. And President Barack Obama did that today, during his first Memorial Day ceremony as president. They have aides deliver wreaths to other memorials - including, today, at the mast of the USS Maine and at the Spanish American War Memorial.

About five dozen professors had petitioned the White House last week to omit the Confederate memorial.

"The Arlington Confederate Monument is a denial of the wrong committed against African-Americans by slave owners, Confederates and neo-Confederates, through the monument's denial of slavery as the cause of secession and its holding up of Confederates as heroes," they wrote. "This implies that the humanity of Africans and African-Americans is of no significance."

Among the petitions, Unversity of Illinois at Chicago education professor William Ayers, who helped found the radical Weather Underground in the 1960s and who had supported Obama's early campaign for the state legislature. Republicans had attempted to link Obama with Ayers during the 2008 presidential campaign, with Republican Sarah Palin accusing Obama of "pallin' around with terrorists.''

Even Memorial Day is becoming politically correct.

AG Holder to SF Police: Shut Up About Obama's Friends

I recently posted an item about the San Francisco Police Union's attempts to have charges brought against Obama buddy William Ayers in the death of an SF police officer. Those efforts have not gone unnoticed by Obama's Attorney General and former terrorist pardoner Eric Holder:

Allegations that presidential pal Bill Ayers was involved in the murder of a San Francisco policeman appear to be running into something of a gag order from at the Department of Justice.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Justice Department and the San Francisco Police Department have contacted the San Francisco Police Officers Association and told them not to talk about the Ayers case.

Boy, that was fast!

Cliff Kincaid's March 12 National Press Club press conference apparently hit a nerve.

The Jawa Report adds a little background on Holder:

Flashback, during the Clinton administration nation of cowards Holder was instrumental in the pardons of two former Weather Underground members. Susan Rosenburg and her pal Linda Evans. They took part in a Brinks robbery which led to the death of two police officers and a security guard.

Somehow I don't think the police union is just going to go away. Especially since this news is coming out just a few days after four cops from Oakland, just across the Bay, were killed in a single day.

San Francisco Police Union Goes After Obama's Buddy

San Francisco police officers are blaming Obama friend and mentor William Ayers and his radical wife for a bombing that killed a police sergeant:

A San Francisco police union has accused former domestic terrorist William Ayers, co-founder of the Weather Underground, and his wife in a 1970 bombing that killed one sergeant, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The union, in a letter to a conservative organization lobbying for arrests in the case, accused Ayers and wife Bernardine Dohrn of bombing a city police station.
On Feb. 16, 1970, a bomb placed on a window ledge of Park Station killed Sgt. Brian McDonnell and injured eight other officers, the Chronicle reported.

The union said it had not been in contact with investigators nor did it have new evidence, but it cited Larry Grathwohl, who works with the conservative organization America’s Survival of Maryland and claims that he infiltrated Weather Underground as an FBI informant and heard Ayers confess, the Chronicle reported.

“There are irrefutable and compelling reasons to believe that Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn … are largely responsible for the bombing of Park Police Station,” the Feb. 24 letter reads, according to the Chronicle.

There is no statute of limitations on murder. However, if enough evidence can be raised to prosecute, it won't happen. Obama will pardon the two of them. After all, they're such model citizens now.

A Terrorist Wants Protection From Terrorists

This is almost surreal:

Millersville University has asked the regional counter-terrorism task force to provide security when William Ayers, a former militant anti-war activist, speaks at the university next month.

Area law enforcement officers are disturbed.

Speaking on their behalf, Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman said law enforcement must provide security if the university requests it, "regardless of how we feel about an unrepentant terrorist."

However, he called MU's decision to invite Ayers "a remarkably irresponsible choice" and urged the university to consider alternatives, such as remote video, "which would provide a forum without the public safety risks or costs."

State Rep. John Bear, who was informed of the security plan by a local police officer, also teed off on the university. He said he shared the plan with the Lancaster County House Republicans and they also were "appalled."

"The fact that they even asked the anti-terrorism task force to be involved shows you they think this is going to be controversial, maybe even dangerous," he said. "Why would they even hold the event in the first place?"

The counter-terrorism task force was created in the wake of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The university has explained that Ayers' appearance here on March 19 is part of an initiative by the School of Education to revitalize its urban education program for future teachers. Ayers is a recognized authority in the field of urban education.

A professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ayers helped found the Weather Underground while in his 20s. The group protested the Vietnam War by bombing several public buildings in the 1970s.

Ayers, who has acknowledged participating in the bombing of the Capitol in 1971 and of the Pentagon in 1972, faced criminal charges, which were dropped.

Protests have been staged at other colleges where Ayers has spoken, especially since the media reported his association with President Barack Obama. Several colleges have canceled appearances, citing security concerns and costs.

Bear and Stedman criticized MU for thinking about using a public agency and public funds to protect Ayers.

"I just think that it's absolutely wrong for the university to use public funds," said Bear. "The guy's a known terrorist. Using anti-terrorism funds to protect a known terrorist is irresponsible."

Stedman said, "Especially in these economic times, I believe it is unthinkable that any taxpayer money should be spent on a situation entirely created by choice, and I believe the university should pay for all costs."

There's something delicious about the thought that William Ayers could be concerned about being the victim of a terrorist.

Let us review the list of people who belong in jail he has hung out with over the years: William Ayers. Rod Blagojevich. Tony Rezko. Timothy Geithner. Tom Daschle.

The rest of Obama’s cast of imbeciles: Arne Duncan whose 7 years as Chicago schools CEO was highlighted by worsening test scores and no-bid cappuccino machines.

20 years with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I give Obama credit. He titled his book from the “Audacity of Hope” sermon and not the “God Damn America” sermon.

Nadhmi Auchi, the Iraqi-born billionaire who loaned Obama the money for their $3 million mansion they got at half price courtesy of Rezko.

Bill Richardson, his second choice as commerce secretary, had to withdraw because of a federal corruption investigation of his administration as governor of New Mexico.

Penny Pritzker, his first choice at commerce, who was chairman of a bank that the FDIC had to take over due to mismanagement. Her family agreed to shell out $460 million over a 15-year period to cover some of the losses from that fiasco.

Small wonder that Obama has to look outside the Democratic Party for a commerce secretary as Republican Sen. Judd Gregg is rumored to be in line for the job.

It is sort of like Bill Clinton picking the childless Janet Reno as attorney general after his first 2 picks were embroiled in nanny controversies.

Eric Holder was appointed attorney general despite his role in pardoning terrorists in a votes-for-pardon scam and his role in pardoning a billionaire who failed to pay $100 million in taxes in 1983 dollars.

Hillary Clinton was appointed secretary of state despite the millions Saudis and other foreign interest groups have given her husband, who has shown a willingness to pardon $100 million in taxes for a few million donated to his presidential library, the modern equivalent of a pyramid.

The vetting of these people was done by Valerie Jarrett, who Obama wanted to take his seat in the Senate. Let’s see, she is CEO of Habitat Co., which operates housing projects. After 5 years of her management, one 504-unit scored an 11 out of 100 in a federal inspection.

Small wonder she never discovered Daschle and Geithner are tax cheats.

Does he have any honest friends? One crooked friend or associate can be a misunderstanding. Multiple crooked friends or associates indicates a serious moral flaw.

Obama Mentor William Ayers Turned Away From Canada

An American education professor, one of the founders of a radical 1960s group known as the Weather Underground, which was responsible for a number of bombings in the United States in the early 1970s, was turned back at the Canadian border last night.

Dr. William Ayers, a professor of education at the University of Illinois-Chicago and a leader in educational reform, was scheduled to speak at the Centre for Urban Schooling at University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. But that appearance has now been temporarily cancelled.

"I don't know why I was turned back," Ayers said in an interview this morning from Chicago. "I got off the plane like everyone else and I was asked to come over to the other side. The border guards reviewed some stuff and said I wasn't going to be allowed into Canada. To me it seems quite bureaucratic and not at all interesting ... If it were me I would have let me in. Ayers Describes Obama as a "Family Friend"

Didn't we know this all along?

In a new afterword to his memoir, 1960s radical William Ayers describes himself as a "family friend" of President-elect Barack Obama and writes that the campaign controversy over their relationship was an effort by Obama's political enemies to "deepen a dishonest narrative" about the candidate.

The "deeply dishonest narrative" was coming from Obama who described Ayers as "just a guy in my neighborhood". Thanks, mainstream media, for avoiding any effort to examine the relationship the two had.
